Forum Puebla

Puebla, Mexico

DESCRIPTION:

Forum Puebla is an 800,000 SF retail center located in Puebla, Mexico. The exterior balances a juxtaposition of large modern pieces contrasted with smaller historical building blocks that respond to the urban grain of Puebla, Mexico, a UNESCO World Heritage City. The modern elements connect to the desire for contemporary international retail that is “big, bold, and new” while the historical pieces create a more intimate scale and relate to the community and the historical downtown. Just as the exterior embraces two styles, so too does the interior. The exterior rim of the arcade is traditional while the interior rim is modern infill, creating a contrast that is warm, inviting, and intriguing, and encourages shoppers to explore the whole center.
