Culver City, CA
The Culver Public Market is an initiative of the City of Culver and Regency Centers combining a market hall with associated retail in an underserved area of the city. The adjacent neighborhood demographic currently seeks artisan food and beverage vendors in trendier locales such as nearby Venice.
The project will promote pedestrian activity, provide a new destination where residents, employees, and visitors can shop, dine, and will complement and protect the surrounding neighborhood. The developer’s challenge was to create a hip, attention-grabbing aesthetic mostly tucked beneath a 3-level parking structure to control costs. The resulting industrial-chic design will energize the corner of Washington Boulevard and Centinela Avenue when it opens in 2020.
